I held off posting this review in hopes they would finally get things straight, but here we are 6 months after the purchase with things still all screwed up. I’m starting to really believe that after the sale, nothing matters to them.
Overall, our experience purchasing our new boat was great. We never once felt pressured which is a great thing in my opinion. I couldn’t tell you how many times I have walked out of a place due to that kind of pressure. Can’t say I felt that with Jacob or Jarod.
My only disappointment comes from a few blemishes in the new rig we purchased.
We purchased a G3 Sportsman 1710 with a 90 HP Yahama in February of 2025.
I walked around this boat so many times the day I picked it up and only noticed one of the few I’m about to mention.
There was a screw missing on one of the seats. When I brought it up, they insisted they would go over and thoroughly inspect the rig and it would have been caught during that time. No problem… they put a screw in its place. Two days after taking possession of the boat, it fell out.
The crank on the front of the trailer has a bent shaft. Noticed that the first time I put the boat on the trailer.
First time launching the boat, which was the very next day, I noticed a nice scratch on the top of the motor cover. No idea how I missed this but it is what it is. Normally I would just say I’m surprised this wasn’t caught by them. But damn, someone there caused this while moving the rig, or something. Shame the employee didn’t handle it. Or maybe they did but upper management decided to try to slip it by. If it’s the latter, it worked.
My big disappointment is how it’s been crickets since I texted and called about it.
Fast forward two months, the title and registration finally comes in. My wife’s name is misspelled on the boat trailer registration and title. I made a phone call and was told by the finance manager they would take care of it. Weeks go by and I didn’t hear anything. I called again and was told they were working on it. After several more calls to check in and being told each time they are still working on it, nothing…. crickets, haven’t heard a word. It’s now six months after the sale and four moths after first notifying them about the misspelling and we still have an incorrect title.
Do I love the rig, YES!!! It’s a great setup. Just a little disappointed and feeling like we’ve been discarded after sale was complete.
I’m sure after they read this, I will finally get my phone call and they will ask me to take it down but I’m not removing it until they make things right. I probably should have been a little more vigilant when inspecting the boat prior to taking delivery but I at least want our title corrected. Don’t even try, cause now I’m more than frustrated!
