HB 391 fails in House

HB 391 fails:
Yays - 38
Nays - 58

What a shame. A sad day for us sportsmen.

Sooooo.... According to amendment 3033, Rep. Gisclair and Rep. Garofalo want the bill to take effect in 2020. Must have been nervous that it would pass and this was their plot to delay it.

After some phone conversations today and now watching the hearing, it is very clear to see, as I have always said, which ones more than likely have their hands in the back pockets of the big money land owners.

At one point during the hearing, Rep. R. Carter made a motion to table the whole matter. Thankfully the motion failed. What an ass he is! More proof that some have their hands in the pockets of big money landowners.

Some of the other amendments.

Amendment 2992 by Rep. Stefanski - To add that waters would be off limits during small game seasons as well. passed

Is he crazy?! This would lock us out for more time throughout the year. Besides, I believe the amendment to limit it to only fishing already passed. I think it's a little absurd. Another plot to keep us out as they were scared it would pass.

Amendment 3019 by Rep. Carmody - Hold violators responsible for damages to water bottoms, banks etc... failed

Amendment 3102 by Rep. Jackson - Exclude landowner from liability for injuries or accidents. passed

Amendment 3082 by Rep. Havard - Limit the bill to cover only those waters south of the I-10/I-12 corridor. passed

Amendment 3032 by Rep. Garofalo - Have the State Land Office map the coastal land bottoms. passed

Amendment 3124 by Rep. Ivey - Require permit from land office to block a waterway. failed
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the hind end of poachers and may their arms be too short to scratch!!
