Westwego dump/Tarpaper- 4-24-16

Got out on the water yesterday. The weather was perfect. Since I got out there early in the day, I decided to run to the camps and visited with a few friends. Sorry Marreromad, since you weren't at your camp, you weren't graced with my presence. 

Starred fishing around 3:30. First stop was the Tarpaper Canal area. No luck. Left there and headed for my old stomping grounds, the old Westwego Dump canals. 4 bass on a buzz bait. I switched to a small beetle spin late in the evening. Quite a few hits but I'm pretty sure it was perch nibbling on the tail.

Might go again today. I got the itch. If I go back, I'm gonna bring some night crawlers and concentrate on perch.

Not enough quality in the fish for pics. They were a little pitiful looking.
