Title: Tough day in Westwego. 4-29-14
Post by: WestwegoMan on Apr 29, 2014, 5:56 PM
Fished the Tarpaper Canal area today. Screaming wind. Couldn't even get a bite. Tried night crawlers for perch and nothing. Even though I caught ridicule from Double D, tried for Bass also with no luck.

There is a strange green substance in the water. I can't recall ever seeing this before. I was thinking pollen or algae. Any thoughts?

Not sure if you will be able to make it out in the pic...

It's still here and pretty bad. Even seen a few fish and hundreds of minnows gasping at the top of the water like there are oxygen problems.

If it's algae it's probably depleting
 the oxygen .just my thought's

That's what I was thinking.

It's gone now, but so are the fish. [smiley=banghead.gif]
