Conditions
Air Temp. (F°):
76
Wind Direction:
NNE
Wind Speed:
15
Weather:
Cloudy
Tide:
Falling
Time of day:
Morning
Put in at Joe's landing and was on our way at 6:30 am. Ran out to the wall on Bayou Perot for some bass action on a hot tip my fishing partner had heard. Knew it was going to be tough when we saw how hard the wind was at the landing. We moved around all day hunting protected areas. In no time the wind gust were 17-18 mph with white caps. we managed one here and there but really had to work for them. First few were caught on billed cranks in baby bass, right against the hydrilla in some cuts. Next we moved out into open water and fished the grass beds with lipless cranks, silver/red and silver/blue. Started picking up one here and there but scattered. Also caught 3 reds and a speck. Picked up and headed home at 3:00pm, tired and wind burnt.
Ended the day with 17 bass and 1 speck.
Throw backs...3 reds...4 bass
A bad day fishing is better than good day at work!

Cool. That wind had to be something to work with. Looks like a nice mess of fish there.

Glad y'all got a chance to get at em.
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the hind end of poachers and may their arms be too short to scratch!!
