Fishing picked up. Caught 30 perch this morning. Heading out to see what we can do this evening.
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the hind end of poachers and may their arms be too short to scratch!!

I think the count this evening was something like 29. Not great but better than the big goose egg we had the past 2 days.

In those 29 were 2 cats and a Bass.

My son went in the Bayou Teche behind Patterson yesterday and ended up with 12 bass and a few Sac's.  He was only out a little while.  He and I will have to go hit the Bayou Signette area get I get home.

We had about 3 dozen crabs on Tuesday that were all alive before all this started. After that one crab was caught and he was dead as well as a few perch dead in the traps.

The fishing seemed to get somewhat better on Thursday, as we weren't catching anything before. For a short while, I thought we were on our way to a major fish kill.

I had to miss the cook off due to prior arrangements. Hope to make it next year.
