| For those who haven't heard the name "The Boat Doctor",
I sense that you may be wondering who he is. Well, I'm going to tell
you. Born Hank Johnston, he was given the title "The Boat Doctor" way
back in 1983 when he was a guest on the WWL outdoors radio program. The
host referred to Hank as “The Boat Doctor” because he was going to make
house calls to diagnose and fix whatever problems the listeners’ had
with their outboard motors. "The Boat Doctor" is still a regular guest
of the outdoors program on WWL Radio. He has also appeared on Cox
Cable’s Outdoors Louisiana Style television program, as well as written
many articles for various publications.
